The machine:
I am very pleased with this Keurig machine. It brews a perfect cup of coffee every time. I bought mine at Sam's Club, and it came with the carbon water filter kit and 2 filters, along with a large quantity of different coffees in K-cups.

Setup was very easy and it has worked flawlessly ever since.

Pros:
• Great cup of coffee every time.
• Variety - Many choices of brands and styles. Can make regular and decaf, or even half-decaf. (I drink regular in the morning, half-decaf in the afternoon, and decaf at night.)
• Very easy to use. My 4 year old son loves the fact that he can make me coffee now.
• Water filter built in. My coffee never tasted better. Not sure if it’s the filter, but I have always read and heard it makes a difference.

Cons:
• Cost - Coffee is much more expensive than buying whole bean… but it's worth it in my opinion. I buy in bulk to save some $.
• If you place a K-Cup with a faulty/punctured foil top in it, it will overflow and create a pretty big mess. I had to disassemble the K-cup holder to get it thoroughly clean - probably a little extreme, but I’m anal.

The reason:
I bought this Keurig coffee brewer because my mother had a Keurig maker for about a year, and every time I visited I really enjoyed the wonderful coffee.

I was using a grind & brew system for that fresh coffee flavor, but it still wasn't as good as what my mother's machine made. The biggest difference was consistency and variety.

Unlike my coffee maker, her Keurig offered, in my opinion, the perfect cup every time. My coffee maker was sometimes bitter, especially if I hadn't cleaned/de-calcified it with vinegar in a while.

As far as variety...she had a neat little carousel with all kinds of different coffees to choose from. And amazingly, all the coffees were very good, including the decaf brands.
