I bought my coffee maker in July 2010 and I absolutely love it. It is a sight to behold on my kitchen counter.

I bought a Brita water jug and use that filtered water in my Keurig. Whether filtered water is necessary, I don't know, but decided to use it as per Keurig instructions.

I have sampled the various K-cups and my husband and I both prefer the "bold" varieties.

Sure the K-cups are a little pricey but once you get your coffee machine, Keurig has a program in which you can join their coffee club and get a reduced price when ordering K-cups, according to what I read online. I believe I will eventually get involved in that option... they offer free shipping too.

I also bought the little cup to use your own coffee in and it tastes good but is hardly worth the bother... I must prefer the actual K-cups.

I did try using a K-cup twice. I just put it in with the print one way and then for the second cup, turned it slightly and brewed again... you know... it does work and isn't half bad... if you want to save that way. I drink mine black and the flavor is almost as good as the first cup. Not sure if Keurig would recommend that!!
